Black money investigation against Sarıgül family

NESLİHAN KESKİN / NEWS CENTER - In the statement made by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, German citizen K.P. It was reported that an investigation was launched upon the allegation that M.B. and M.B. carried out transactions aimed at laundering large amounts of money of unknown origin through companies established at home and abroad.

In the statement, it was stated that the complainants alleged that "a contract worth 80 million euros was drawn up", "a transfer transaction worth 100 million euros was carried out", "a fund worth 1 billion euros was promised to be taken abroad through loans using public power and influence" and "a boat sale worth 1.5 million euros was made". It was also emphasized that the complainants claimed that they conveyed information and documents regarding the issue to Murat Ağırel and that they were threatened after the information and documents in question were transferred to the relevant persons.

They were detained

In the statement, it was noted that a detention order was issued for Emir Sarıgül, Ömer Sarıgül, Aylin Kotil, Volkan Aslanbaş, Cavidan Tanrah Artuner and Murat Ağırel, and that the allegations against Erzincan Deputy Mustafa Sarıgül would be sent to the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office for separate evaluation. In this context, Ömer Sarıgül, Aylin Kotil, Volkan Aslanbaş, Tanrah Artuner and Murat Ağırel were detained. Efforts to capture Emir Sarıgül continue.

Sarıgül: The issue is commercial dispute

In his statement on the subject, Mustafa Sarıgül said, "The issue is a commercial business dispute. The allegations are untrue. They also applied to Journalist Mr. Murat Ağırel to have their unfounded allegations reported before the investigation begins. While investigating the truth of the incident, I learned that Mr. Murat Ağırel was detained within the scope of the investigation in question. My family members will share all information and documents regarding the incident within the scope of the investigation with the investigation authorities."

In his message while in custody, Ağırel said, "I am used to being detained because of the news I made, but this was the first time I had the chance to be detained because of the news I did not report."
