Schweinsteiger criticizes the state of the German national team after the Greece defeat

Soccer world champion Bastian Schweinsteiger clearly criticized the sporting condition of the German national team after the 1-0 defeat against Greece. «We are no longer a top team. We have arrived at mediocrity. We no longer have these players who make the difference,” said the 42-year-old ARD expert after the disappointing home debut of new national coach Jürgen Klopp.

The former professional from FC Bayern Munich and the German national team still believes Klopp's strategy is correct. “It’s right to look at everyone who can be considered in order to develop a team that will play Jürgen Klopp-style football,” said Schweinsteiger. “Hopefully we will see it in November. Now it’s just testing.”

Schweinsteiger currently sees the game structure as the biggest problem. “If we have to play out from the back, the only one who can play creative passes is Kimmich. “That’s the only one,” he said. "If he's not there, then it will be difficult."
