Kocaelispor Coach Selçuk İnan made a statement at the press conference held after the match at RAMS Park.

Stating that his team fought well against a team like Galatasaray, İnan said, "We expected Galatasaray to start with a lot of pressure today. We always worked like this during the week. Our primary goal was to take a position from the transition with a correct stance, a good fight and the balls we captured. Our strategy would change a little in the later parts of the match. Partially, the game went as I wanted. Our defensive stance was very good. We did not give very clear positions, but we had problems from time to time due to side crosses, corners, set pieces and caroms." We changed, lowered our average age, our players are very young, we lowered our salary limit. While the teams are perhaps making more money every year financially, we fell below the previous year.
