Sergio Moro (PL) was elected governor of Paraná this Sunday (4). At 8:23 pm, with 99.87 of the sections counted, the candidate had 3,124,306 valid votes, according to the Superior Electoral Court (TSE). The elected vice-governor is Edson Vasconcelos (PL).

How was the dispute over the government of Paraná
During the electoral campaign period, Sergio Moro positioned himself as the candidate representing the Bolsonaro family in Paraná. The fight against corruption was one of the main arguments used by Moro to defend his candidacy, with the promise of transforming Paraná into "a fortress".

Who is Sergio Moro (PL)?
Sergio Moro (PL) was born in Maringá, in the Northwest of Paraná, he is 54 years old and has a degree in Law from the State University of Maringá (UEM), in addition to a master's degree and doctorate from the Federal University of Paraná (UFPR). Moro is a former federal judge, former minister of Jair Bolsonaro and is currently a senator from Paraná.
Moro was sworn in as a federal judge in 1996 and worked on cases such as Banestado and investigations into currency evasion across the border in 2003.
In 2014 he began to be recognized nationally for the Lava Jato operation, in Curitiba. In 2017, he sentenced the then former president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT), a decision that was annulled by the Federal Supreme Court (STF) in 2021.
