It was stated that those who have completed the premium day for retirement should not rely only on the total number of days visible in e-Government.
SSI Specialist Özgür Erdursun said that the records in the service record should be examined in detail before the retirement petition is submitted.
Erdursun said, "The visible day of retirement may not be the same as the valid day," and stated that a previously granted pension does not provide absolute assurance against services that are later determined to be invalid.
BEWARE OF THE BONUS DAY FOR EYT MEMBERS
According to Erdursun, retirement conditions for people who were insured on or before September 8, 1999 and are within the scope of Retirement Age Stuck (EYT) vary depending on their insurance status.
While the premium requirement for normal retirement under 4/A, that is, SSK, is between 5 thousand and 5 thousand 975 days, an insurance period of 20 years is required for women and 25 years for men.
Within the scope of 4/B, namely Bağ-Kur, there is a requirement of 7 thousand 200 premium days for women and 9 thousand premium days for men for normal retirement from EYT.
Erdursun stated that these conditions are valid for normal retirement, but different rules may be applied in partial retirement and special cases.
RETIREMENT RIGHTS MAY BE LOST WHILE 6 THOUSAND DAYS APPEAR
Emphasizing that the total number of days in the service record alone is not sufficient, Erdursun gave a remarkable example.
He stated that if the 30-day service of a person who needs 5 thousand 975 days to retire from SSK is deemed invalid even though 6 thousand days appear in the service record, the valid premium days will decrease to 5 thousand 970.
In this case, the person cannot meet the premium requirement for retirement even though 6 thousand days appear in the system.
MORE THAN 30 DAYS IN THE SAME MONTH DOES NOT INCREASE RETIREMENT DAYS
Reminding that premium calculations in the social security system are made 30 days a month and 360 days a year, Erdursun also drew attention to the notifications made by more than one workplace in the same period.
He stated that if a 4/A notification is made from more than one workplace in the same month or if there are both 4/A and 4/B records in the same period, the days cannot be collected directly.
Erdursun said, "Notifications exceeding 30 days in a month do not automatically increase the number of retirement days."
For this reason, he suggested that SSI registration and service records be obtained via e-Government and checked separately each month.
DON'T LEAVE THE BONUS DAY AT THE RIGHT LIMIT
Erdursun also warned those who completed the required premium date for retirement at the full limit.
Stating that it should be confirmed whether all the days are legally valid before the application, Erdursun stated that, if possible, having a valid premium surplus of 5, 10 or 15 days may be useful against registration and account differences.
However, he underlined that an excess premium day will not make fake insurance or a legally invalid service valid.
APPLYING AT THE BEGINNING OF THE MONTH DOES NOT START PENSION EARLY
Stating that there is a misperception about the day the retirement application is made, Erdursun stated that the old-age pension within the scope of 4/A and 4/B, as a rule, starts from the first day of the month following the written application.
For example, whether the application is made on the 3rd or the 28th of October, the pension starts on November 1, as long as other conditions are the same.
Erdursun stated that, for this reason, it is not necessary to apply on the first day of the month just because the monthly salary will start earlier.
He noted that Bağ-Kur insured people should especially check the date on which their premiums for the current month are finalized.
PAY ATTENTION TO K, Ş AND S CODES IN THE SERVICE DESCRIPTION
K, Ş and S signs in SSI service records are also important in retirement applications.
K code is used to mark controlled, S code is suspicious, and S code is used to mark fake business records.
Erdursun stated that not every service with a K or S code can be automatically considered invalid, and that the result of the review should be taken into account.
However, he emphasized that services may be canceled during periods when it is determined that they are shown as insured even though they are not actually working.
RETIREMENT CAN BE CANCELED AFTER YEARS
One of Erdursun's most striking warnings was that the retirement process could be re-examined years later.
In the audits carried out after the pension is granted, it may be determined that some premium days are invalid due to fraudulent insurance, service conflict or other legal reasons.
If the valid premium number falls below the required level on the retirement date, the pension may be cut or the retirement process may be cancelled.
Reimbursement can also be requested for previously paid pensions and health expenses covered by SSI within the scope of the relevant legislation.
Erdursun pointed out that factors such as fault, SSI error, duration and interest may lead to different results in the recovery of undue payments.
CHECK BAĞ-KUR DEBT BEFORE APPLICATION
Those who will apply for retirement within the scope of Bağ-Kur must also check their premiums and premium-related debts.
Erdursun suggested that a debt inquiry should be made before the retirement petition is submitted, and if there is a debt, it should be checked whether the amount is deducted from the system after the payment.
Stating that it may take time for payment records to be reflected in the system, Erdursun stated that receipts should also be kept.
HOW TO APPLY FOR RETIREMENT?
Those who meet the retirement conditions can apply from SSI offices or via e-Government.
Applications can be made via the "Issuance of Income, Monthly and Allowance Request Document" service in e-Government.
However, Erdursun pointed out that the fact that the application is received electronically does not mean that the retirement conditions are definitely met and stated that the final evaluation is made by SSI.
'VERIFY YOUR BONUS DAYS BEFORE PETITION'
Stating that within the scope of 4/A, employees must clarify their retirement conditions, valid premium days and termination procedures before leaving the job, Erdursun stated that severance pay and unused annual leave wages due to retirement should also be evaluated separately.
Erdursun gave the following warning to those who will apply for retirement:
"Before submitting a retirement petition, check your service record month by month and year by year. Search for SSK and Bağ-Kur conflicts in the same periods; review months exceeding 30 days, years exceeding 360 days, K-Ş-S signs and Bağ-Kur debts."
Erdursun said, "It is as important to continue retirement without any problems as it is to retire," and suggested that written information and review be requested from SSI for doubtful records.
