Zezé Di Camargo show collects more than 70 tons of rice in São Francisco de Goiás

During the 73rd anniversary celebration of the municipality of São Francisco de Goiás, Zezé Di Camargo's show brought together thousands of people in an action of solidarity. Entrance to the event was exchanged for food, and the mobilization resulted in the collection of more than 70 tons of rice.

The show was held on September 7th. To access the show, each person had to deliver a 5 kg package of type 1 rice. In videos posted on city hall's social media, mayor Cleuton Gomes de Moura, known as Timbó, stated that more than 20 thousand people participated in Zezé's show.

Still on social media, the mayor said that he is a fan of the artist and that the population had asked for the performance. According to him, a poll carried out in the municipality had Zezé Di Camargo as the name most voted by residents.

During the meeting with the mayor before the presentation, Zezé stated that he was pleased to have been chosen to participate in the party.

"And I'm very happy to be here and be able to bring joy to the people. It's not just the people of the city, but of the entire region. I hope the people go home enjoying Zezé Di Camargo even more", said the singer.

Food destination

Food collection was also adopted for other attractions in the commemorative program celebrating the municipality's 73rd anniversary. For the city hall, the result of the campaign represents a way of combining cultural programming with social assistance actions.

According to the municipal administration, the more than 70 tons of rice will have different destinations:

Municipal daycare centers;

Schools in the municipal education network;

Municipal Hospital;

Basic food baskets for families in need of assistance;

Natal do Bem, an annual action aimed at families in the municipality.

The city hall informed that the amount collected should benefit different public services and families in the municipality in the coming months.
