Villages evacuated due to terrorism in Şırnak began to be filled with the Terror-Free Türkiye process. It is fulfilled one by one with the demands of the citizens who come and settle in their villages.

Akarsu village on the Yeşilöz plateau in Şırnak's Beytüşşebap district was evacuated 30 years ago due to terrorism. In the process initiated by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Nationalist Movement Party Chairman Devlet Bahçeli, terrorism was cleared from the region for the first time in years, and an environment of peace and security was completely established.

Citizens petitioned the district governor's office to return to their villages. Şırnak Governorship welcomed the petitions and built networks, irrigation channels, drinking water networks, water tanks and electricity lines for the citizens who returned to their villages with the return to village projects.

Citizens who saw the work done in the first stage started to build houses to stay in their villages permanently. Citizens who are planning to come to their villages for the first time in 30 years and stay in summer and winter are demanding that the roads be built.

The local people, who earn their living from animal husbandry and beekeeping, started working in their villages again with the support of the state.
