4 more people were detained within the scope of the investigation carried out regarding the disappearance of 11-month-old Büşra Balıkçı 5 days ago in Divriği district of Sivas. While the number of detainees has increased to 10, search efforts continue in the region following the statement of her mother Elif Balıkçı yesterday, "My wife killed my daughter and left her on the land."
According to the news in DHA; A search was launched in the tent where the Balıkçı family, who are engaged in animal husbandry, temporarily stayed in the İncedere Plateau of Göndüren village of Divriği district of Sivas, upon the notice that their 11-month-old daughter Büşra had gone missing.
Mother Elif Balıkçı, who was detained within the scope of the investigation into the incident, claimed in her first statements that her child was sold for money. Elif Balıkçı, who changed her statement yesterday, claimed that the baby was killed and left in the rural area by her father, Yusuf Balıkçı, who was also in custody.
Elif Balıkçı said that she had previously made a false statement because she was afraid, and filed a complaint against her husband, saying, "His father Yusuf killed my child, took him to the stony land 1-2 kilometers away, above the tents, and left him."
NO TRACE FOUND ON THE LAND
Following the allegation, Elif Balıkçı, accompanied by the prosecutor, was shown a place around İncedere Plateau. While the gendarmerie teams, who took intense security measures in the region, used signal cutters, the search activities were shifted to the stony area pointed out by the mother. The searches carried out by gendarmerie public order, commando teams and AFAD teams in difficult terrain conditions with artificial intelligence-supported drones and tracking dogs have not yielded any results yet.
While no traces or findings of the missing baby Büşra were found, the teams' feverish search efforts in the region continue today. While the statements of the father Yusuf Balıkçı and other suspects, who denied the accusations regarding the incident, to the gendarmerie continued, the other 4 children of the family were taken under state protection.
THE NUMBER OF DETENTIONS INCREASED
After Elif Balıkçı's statement, 4 more people were detained. Thus, the number of detainees within the scope of the investigation increased to 10. Detained Yusuf Balıkçı, Elif Balıkçı, K.D., M.D. M.R.S., R.D., Ö.D., M.B., İ.B. and A.Ç. are expected to be transferred to Divriği Courthouse within the day after the interrogation procedures.

In the statement, "Upon notice of the incident, an investigation was immediately launched upon the instructions of the Divriği Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, and the search for the baby has been carried out meticulously from the first moment.
Within the scope of the judicial investigation carried out regarding the incident, the scope of the investigation was expanded upon the contradictory statements of family members; All possibilities are evaluated from multiple perspectives, including the possibility that the baby may have been killed, kidnapped or given to another person in exchange for financial gain.
In line with the instructions of the Divriği Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, 10 people were detained regarding the incident and their judicial processes are continuing. As a result of the examinations and evaluations made by our Provincial Directorate of Family and Social Services, 2 girls and 2 boys in the family, born in 2017, 2018, 2021 and 2023, were taken under state protection.
