SK Hynix holds a coffee truck event for partners to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Mutual Growth Council

(Seoul = Yonhap News) Reporter Kang Tae-woo = SK Hynix is attracting attention by holding a coffee truck event to express gratitude for the hard work and cooperation of executives and employees of partner companies in celebration of the 25th anniversary of the launch of the Mutual Growth Council.

According to the industry on the 15th, SK Hynix is ​​running this event for the workplaces of about 80 partner companies belonging to the Mutual Growth Council. Approximately 20,000 cups of beverages are served during a month-long tour of business sites across the country, including not only in the metropolitan area but also in Gumi, North Gyeongsang Province, Iksan, North Jeolla Province, and Boeun, North Chungcheong Province.

For the event, member companies select target workplaces and SK Hynix sends a coffee truck to provide drinks and snacks. Snacks such as bread or sandwiches are delivered separately to workplaces where coffee trucks are difficult to access.

Previously, SK Hynix visited the Cheonan business site of semiconductor test company TSE on the 7th. The same event was held at semiconductor equipment company Lam Research Korea's Icheon plant on the 3rd and at Edward Korea's Cheonan and Asan plants on the 4th.

A sign was hung at the site that said, “We would like to express our gratitude to you, SK Hynix’s brightest partner,” and some executives and employees responded, “I feel like I received a small but pleasant gift during a busy day.”

This event was organized to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the Shared Growth Council, which was launched by SK Hynix in 2001. 89 member companies in the materials, parts, equipment, and infrastructure fields participated in this year’s regular general meeting.

The council shares market outlook and business status every year and discusses supply chain issues and response plans.

Recently, the operating method has been diversifying, with partners directly proposing difficulties they are experiencing in the field as agenda items and companies with similar concerns forming small groups to discuss solutions.

Separately from this, SK Hynix also operates shared growth programs such as joint research and funding, infrastructure sharing, and semiconductor education for executives and employees of partner companies.

An industry official said, "As the importance of supply chain competitiveness encompassing materials, components, and equipment increases in the semiconductor industry, long-term cooperative relationships with partners are also emerging as a major competitive factor."
