SOLOTURK pilots met with citizens and shared their enthusiasm for 30 August Victory Day

SOLOTÜRK, the demonstration team of the Turkish Armed Forces, came together with the citizens at the interview and signing day event within the scope of the 30 August Victory Day and Turkish Armed Forces Day celebrations. In the program held at the Istanbul Air Force Museum in Bakırköy, SOLOTÜRK pilots met with citizens and children interested in aviation.

Speaking to journalists, Lieutenant Colonel Murat Bakıcı, one of the SOLOTURK pilots, said that they were happy to share the enthusiasm of August 30 Victory Day with the citizens. Thanking the citizens for their interest in the event, Bakıcı said, "We will crown our 30 August Victory Day enthusiasm with our show at 18.00 in Yenikapı Square. We invite everyone to share our enthusiasm." he said.

Bakıcı stated that they were happy about the interest of young people in aviation and said, "First of all, just like every Turkish family, every Turkish soldier is born. When you look at all our young people here, they are the guarantees of our future. They also want to take our place in the sky in the future. We are all very happy and proud on behalf of our team, as we are role models in this regard." he said.

"Hopefully, MY DAUGHTER WILL BE THE FIRST FEMALE SOLOTURK PILOT"

Hüseyin Kaya, who attended the event with his little daughter, explained that his daughter was very interested in SOLOTURK. Stating that her daughter wakes up early in the morning to meet the pilots, Kaya said, "My daughter loves SOLOTÜRK very much. Today she woke up at 07.00 in the morning so that she could see her brother Murat and her brother Erhan. I hope she wants to be a pilot in the future, even a SOLOTÜRK pilot. I hope my daughter will be the first female SOLOTÜRK pilot. Our wishes are in that direction." he said.

Ege Tandan Kömür, who attended the event with his brother Deniz, said that he wanted to be a pilot and that he had previously met Lieutenant Colonel Bakıcı, one of the SOLOTURK pilots, and that he came to the program to meet again.

Kömür said, "My brother Deniz's dream is to become a SOLOTURK pilot. I will give the drawing I made to the pilots. Then, we will have it signed and go home." he said.

At the end of the program, SOLOTURK team signed the pictures, t-shirts and F-16 posters drawn by the citizens.
