Tour bus driver M.A., who survived the accident with minor injuries, was detained by gendarmerie teams immediately after his treatment was completed at a private hospital in Akhisar. The security camera footage of the accident revealed that the disaster occurred due to a dangerous reversing maneuver on the highway.

It was revealed that the accident in which a tour bus and a truck collided in Manisa's Akhisar district, in which 11 people lost their lives, was reflected on the highway highways.

In the footage, the tour bus, which had missed the intersection, made a reversing maneuver and was hit by a truck coming from behind and the vehicles overturned.

After the massacre-like accident, a written statement came from My World Tourism company, which undertook the tour organization. Expressing condolences to those who lost their lives, the company denied corporate responsibility for the accident and placed the blame entirely on the driver of the vehicle.

In the public announcement made by the company, the following statements were made: "The tour organization in question does not belong to our company. The vehicle is rented within our other department, Transport Transportation, and only transportation services were provided by the relevant organization. The vehicle and the driver were at rest for 5 days before the accident. We believe that the accident was caused entirely by an individual mistake. All relevant information and documents have been handed over to the judicial units of our state."
