Phil Ho在9月接受《TaiwanPlus》專訪時表示，STR8開發「幽靈尾跡」（Ghostwake）無人水面載具，從概念設計到實際下水測試，不到120天便完成。他指出，台灣能快速供應所需零組件，工程團隊也能直接與供應商合作，並根據使用者意見及實際海上測試結果持續修改設計。台灣的電子、造船、機器人與製造業資源，因而成為STR8推進Ghostwake開發的重要條件。
