Joilson Bonifácio Correa de Souza Silva, 44, suspected of killing his ex-wife with 16 stab wounds, allegedly waited for the victim to leave the house to work in a pizzeria before attacking her from behind, on Saturday night (10), in Chapada dos Guimarães, 65 km from Cuiabá. According to delegate Bruno Barcellos, the woman tried to escape, but was chased and knocked to the ground.

The victim, Conceição Moreira da Silva, 31 years old, had a protective measure against her ex-husband since September this year, after reporting him as a threat. According to the delegate, the suspect had already been notified of the court decision, which prohibited him from approaching her.
