Houthi alarm in Saudi Arabia! Early warning system was activated

Saudi Arabia announced that it has activated the early warning system in the Cazan region in the southwest of the country.

The Civil Defense Directorate announced on its social media account that the early warning system was activated in the Cazan region, but did not provide information about the nature of the danger.

In the second statement made by the Civil Defense Directorate shortly after the early warning system was activated, it was stated that "the danger has passed" in the region in question.

While the conflicts between government forces and the Houthis in Yemen have increased recently, the Iranian-backed Houthis are targeting Saudi Arabia, which they hold responsible for the attacks against them, with ballistic missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles.

Yemen is the scene of a civil war that started after the Iran-backed Houthis took control of the capital Sanaa and some provinces in September 2014.

The Arab Coalition led by Saudi Arabia has been supporting the Yemeni government, which is recognized by the international community, since March 2015.
