炒米粉、雞排不只是國民美食,竟然也和台灣民主有關,適逢今(20)總統賴清德520就職2週年,也是台灣總統直選30週年,台南女中推出超有創意的「餐桌上的歷史課」,把民主故事直接端上營養午餐餐盤,讓學生邊吃邊認識台灣民主發展。

活動由國教署人權教育資源中心規劃,搭配5月底即將出版的《民主的滋味》增訂版教材,希望用學生最熟悉的「吃」,拉近與歷史的距離。

19日至21日連續3天,學校推出不同主題菜單,19日是〈原住民族的餐桌〉,有小米飯香腸、竹筍炒肉絲和地瓜籤煎餅;20日最吸睛,以〈台灣民主路上的滋味〉為主題,菜色直接出現選舉造勢超常見的炒米粉、雞排,搭配西魯肉與魚鬆,讓學生秒聯想到台灣街頭選舉文化;21日將重現台灣議會請願運動時期的「獄中食」,推出糙米飯、滷肉、天婦羅與滷黃豆。

國教署人權教育資源中心執行秘書、台南女中老師楊素芳表示,希望透過食物,把民主、人權與歷史變得更生活化,學生不只吃得飽,也能吃出背後的時代故事。

校長洪慶在說,如果民主有味道,會是什麼滋味?其實過去民主運動、大型造勢場合,炒米粉與雞排攤總少不了,這些看似平凡的小吃,都是台灣民主一路走來的共同記憶。

創意寫作班老師劉姿吟帶學生從美食談民主,有學生笑說,以前覺得民主歷史離自己很遠,現在看到炒米粉、雞排,竟然也能想到民主運動,感覺歷史突然變得很有畫面。

活動期間還有線上有獎徵答,總統府與學校熱食部也贊助獎品,讓這堂「用味蕾上的民主課」更有趣。
