Exactly 13 years later... One sentence caught the murderer!

The incident in Samsun took place on June 1, 2013, in Beyyenice District of Çarşamba district. The file regarding Arif Yılmaz (50) being found dead with gunshot wounds in his head, leg and chest was re-examined.

RE-EXAMINATION HAS BEEN STARTED

According to the news in DHA, the incident was re-examined in all its aspects within the scope of the studies carried out under the coordination of the Unsolved Crimes Investigation Department within the General Directorate of Criminal Affairs of the Ministry of Justice, Samsun Provincial Gendarmerie Command Çarşamba Crime Investigation Team (JASAT) and Çarşamba Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.

Murdered Arif Yılmaz was 50 years old.

28 PEOPLE WERE TAKEN UNDER THE LOCUS

Existing evidence, witness statements and HTS records were re-analyzed by taking advantage of developing technological opportunities. Contact data of 28 people, including those who had previously been decided not to prosecute, were compared.

Arif Yılmaz's older sister, Nefise Yılmaz, made a statement regarding the incident.

"YOU WILL END LIKE ARIF"

In some witness statements taken, it was stated that Murat Atasoy said "You will end up like Arif" to some people with whom he had argued and fought in the neighborhood from time to time in the years after the murder, and as suspicions increased, the investigation was deepened in this way.

TWO SUSPECTS WERE TAKEN INTO CUSTODY

The prosecutor's office detained Turan Zengin and Murat Atasoy, who were considered to be linked to the incident as a result of technical analyzes and new witness statements.

THEY WERE SENT TO PRISON

The two suspects, who denied the accusations against them, were arrested by the judgeship, where they were taken to the courthouse after their procedures at the gendarmerie. Meanwhile, it was reported that the suspects were from the same neighborhood. The place where Arif Yılmaz's lifeless body was found and Beyyenice District were viewed with a drone.

Arif Yılmaz's older sister, Nefise Yılmaz, said, "We sent him from home to the field with the animals at 10.15. When he did not come home around 17.00, I got curious. We had a field by the river. I told my uncle that Arif did not come home. My uncle went after him to look for him. We could not find him in the field. All the villagers went to search. They searched everywhere in the field. The people who found him were S.Y. and Y.G.. Then they told us. "I received news that he was in Istanbul. May God bless everyone," he said.
