Teddy Riner returns to Paris Saint-Germain until 2028

Teddy Riner reconnects with Paris SG. After a break of around a year, the judoka with eleven world titles decided to return to his favorite club, with which he played from 2017 to 2025. “I am very happy and honored to return to Paris Saint-Germain and to write yet another page in my adventure here,” he confided via a press release. “The club, which introduced me to judo and of which I have been a fan since childhood, has become a world reference in judo since 2017. I am lucky to be part of it and to evolve in ideal conditions to continue to nourish my ambition and pursue my quest for titles for years to come. I am still driven by great ambitions, with the desire to look forward to the next events and to continue to make Paris Saint-Germain shine, on and off the tatami mats.

As a symbol, Riner, now 37 years old, has committed until 2028, the date of the next Olympic Games in Los Angeles which will constitute, barring any major surprises, the final challenge of his immense career. On condition of being able to regain physical fullness, he who has just consecutively given up the Grand Slam of Lausanne and the Grand Prix of Lima due to an injury sustained during training. Two withdrawals which led him to also give up the next World Championships in Baku (October 4-11), which means that he will probably not fight in 2026.

As in 2025, since his last fight dates back to December 2024, when he dominated the Cuban Andy Granda in the final of the Champions League, precisely in the colors of Paris SG.
