TEKNOFEST Southeast hosted tens of thousands of visitors in Şanlıurfa

İsmail Şahin - Aviation, Space and Technology Festival (TEKNOFEST), conducted by the Ministry of Industry and Technology and T3 Foundation, hosted tens of thousands of visitors despite the rain on its 3rd day at Şanlıurfa GAP Airport. The most intense interest in the festival, which was established with 157 stakeholders, came from primary schools, secondary schools and high schools in Şanlıurfa and its region. It was noteworthy that student groups even came from Van.

The rain that hit the city at noon did not hinder the festival excitement of the visitors. Thousands of visitors filled the areas despite the rainy weather. While primary school students showed great interest in robot dogs and electronic devices they could touch, it was observed that secondary school students were interested in UAVs and UCAVs, and high school students and young people were interested in artificial intelligence-based products. The helicopter cockpit at the Aselsan stand attracted great interest from primary school students from Siverek.

Yesterday's Solotürk demonstration flight, Bayraktar TB3, helicopter demonstrations and Akıncı demonstration flight also attracted great attention. Meanwhile, those who made it to the finals of the technology competitions to which 1.6 million students applied throughout Türkiye exhibited their inventions. The results of the competitions will be announced today and the winners will be given their awards by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
