Aviation, Space and Technology Festival (TEKNOFEST), organized by the Ministry of Industry and Technology and the T3 Foundation, with Anadolu Agency (AA) as the "Global Communication Partner", continues at Şanlıurfa GAP Airport.

Nart told the AA correspondent that they do not see TEKNOFEST only as a technology festival, and that the event is embraced by the Turkish nation.

Pointing out that the festival area was prepared together with volunteers, Nart said, "The spirit of the area you see was created by our citizens, young people and children who came from all over Şanlıurfa." he said.

12 million people have visited TEKNOFEST so far

Emphasizing that TEKNOFEST has hosted more than 12 million visitors in 9 years, Nart said, "We have worked feverishly since the first day and prepared the area for the people of Şanlıurfa. The interest shown by our citizens of Şanlıurfa to this area was very valuable and exciting. This year, we also held our TEKNOFEST Blue Homeland at Gölcük Shipyard Command between 20-23 August and 343 thousand of our citizens visited." he said.

Nart pointed out that there were competitions in a total of 62 main categories within the scope of TEKNOFEST Southeast and continued as follows:

"We held the final stage of our 14 competitions here. We opened many different technological competitions, from 'FPV Drone Tracking' to 'Moving Satellite Terminals'. We launched two of our competitions. We launched our Robotic Surgery Competition, run by ASELSAN, Can Sağlık and TÜSEB. We launched the Advanced Material Technologies Competition, run by Erdemir."

"Our citizens are coming in droves"

Nart also described an incident he experienced during President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's visit to TEKNOFEST as follows:

"Our President was here to give the awards to the champions of TEKNOFEST. He made a speech, then gave the awards to the champions. There were many beautiful scenes at that time. Our President gave pocket money to our contestants and after the program ended, I went to him to greet him. 'Sir, welcome.' I said, and Selçuk Ağabey said, 'Our TEKNOFEST General Secretary.' Our President smiled at me and gave me 400 lira pocket money. After receiving that allowance, all the fatigue from working for over a year suddenly disappeared. It is a great pleasure for us to see this area in this way on Sunday. "Our citizens flock from Şanlıurfa and all of our surrounding provinces."

Nart stated that visitors can visit various event areas at TEKNOFEST and said, "We have a very nice event area that we will show to our citizens and children. We have the Champions Parade, TÜME Experience Area, KÜME Experience Area, Hezarfen's Journey Experience Area. There is an experience area that tells about Göbeklitepe, its history and the technological journey in our civilization. We have a very big stage that we built this year. We also had two different concerts. To the people of Şanlıurfa, Türkiye "I would like to thank each and every citizen of the Republic for coming to this area, experiencing this atmosphere and visiting these areas of experience." he said.
