Montenegrin politician ridiculed the detention of the authors of the Telegram channel “Rybar”

The authors of the Telegram channel “Rybar”, Mikhail Zvinchuk, his wife Valeria and three of their colleagues were detained in Montenegro.

Prime Minister of Montenegro Milojko Spajic confirmed the detention and noted that the situation requires careful verification.

The former head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Montenegro, Goran Danilovic, ridiculed the authorities for detaining the Russians, doubting the validity of the accusations of “hybrid activities in the interests of Russia.”

BELGRADE, October 9 – RIA Novosti. The former head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Montenegro and the head of the United Montenegro party, Goran Danilovic, ridiculed the Montenegrin authorities on social networks for detaining the authors of the “Rybar” Telegram channel.

Mikhail Zvinchuk, his wife Valeria and three of their colleagues were detained in the city of Risan in Montenegro. Prime Minister of Montenegro Milojko Spajic confirmed the detention, adding that the situation requires careful verification. Later, the Republic's Ministry of Internal Affairs announced that a decision had been made to expel the Russians.

“A Russian who works for Russia and in Russia is accused of “hybrid activity in the interests of Russia,” is this really possible? ... If they had not been detained by our authorities when they were announced to arrive, there is a reasonable suspicion that Zvinchuk would have hybridized everyone, would have hybridized us, tortured and exhausted us with hybridization until we were disgusted with such a hybrid life,” Danilovich wrote on the social network Facebook.

The politician wondered whether the Montenegrin authorities consider all citizens “who love and support Russia to be part of a hybrid war?”

The Russian Embassy in Montenegro previously told RIA Novosti that it demanded that the Montenegrin side explain the reasons for the detention of Zvinchuk and other Russian citizens, as well as provide consular access to them.

The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, said that the Russian side is trying to obtain information from the Montenegrin authorities about the detention of the founder of the Rybar project, but there is no response from them yet.
