Thailand takes on Singapore in the second leg of the 2026 ASEAN Cup semi-finals at 8:00 p.m. on August 18 in Bangkok, after winning 3-1 in the first leg in Singapore.

Teerasak Poeiphimai scored twice, and Seksan Ratree scored the other goal for Thailand. Ilhan Fandi helped Singapore shorten the score in the 84th minute. The away goals rule does not apply, so Singapore needs to win at least 2-0 to send the match into extra time and win by three goals to advance.

Thailand won all five matches in the tournament and only conceded for the first time in the first leg. Singapore has entered the semi-finals for two consecutive editions and won against India and Hong Kong with a score of 2-1 after being behind in the Asian Cup qualifiers. Therefore, they have grounds to believe in a comeback. Ilhan is the hope of the away team, after scoring four goals in five matches at the 2026 ASEAN Cup.

If they protect their advantage, Thailand will enter the final and aim for their eighth championship. In the remaining semi-final, Vietnam will host Malaysia on the evening of August 19, also with a two-goal advantage in the first leg.
