The future of the oil and gas industry and the role of digital technologies were discussed at TNF

TYUMEN, September 16 – RIA Novosti. The main plenary session of the TNF International Industrial and Energy Forum became a platform for discussing the future of the fuel and energy complex and, above all, the oil and gas industry, as well as digitalization, which contributes to its successful development and the emergence of new technologies.

The key event of the forum was the main plenary session “The oil and gas industry of the future: the energy of leadership.” It was held with the participation of the head of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, Anton Alikhanov, and the management of large oil and gas, petrochemical and service companies.

The head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, in particular, emphasized that one of the key tasks of industrial policy is to ensure technological independence for all types of energy resources, as well as the entry of Russian companies into international markets. “For our manufacturers of equipment, technology, for all Russian companies, it is important to present themselves and move, including to export markets. We are now actively trying to work and be present there,” said Anton Alikhanov.

Chairman of the Board of Gazprom Neft Alexander Dyukov emphasized that the use of digital technologies is very important for the industry. “This is big data, digital twins, appropriate software, including the use of artificial intelligence models, these are multi-agent systems. The use of digital technologies allows us to both make optimal engineering decisions and online most effectively manage the end-to-end production chain - from the well to the gas station,” he noted.

The governors of the Tyumen region, Yugra and Yamal who participated in the session noted in their speeches the effectiveness of the forum, which for more than ten years has been the country's leading platform for building a constructive dialogue between oil and gas producers, service providers and processors. Raising the status of the forum to an international format opens up new horizons of cooperation for Russian companies.

“For us, the international status of the forum is confirmation that it is capable of being an effective platform for interaction with foreign countries. The oil and gas industry is one of the leading in the economy of the region and Russia. In our opinion, it is perfectly suited to the role of a channel for building international cooperation and mutually beneficial ties,” said the governor of the Tyumen region, Alexander Moor, at the session.

The head of the region recalled that the region has been developing international cooperation for a number of years, demonstrating to foreign partners from year to year its competencies in the scientific and production fields, introducing innovative products and technologies, and also introducing the cluster model of working with technological challenges. Among the reliable partners of the Tyumen region today are Kazakhstan and Belarus. Since this year, cooperation with Vietnam has been developing, and at the current forum, in addition to delegations from the countries already listed, business partners from China, Iran and Turkey also came.
