This wasn't his first attack on a policeman. Arrangements after the tragedy in Nowy Sącz

On Sunday morning, on Lwowska Street in Nowy Sącz, the 41-year-old attacked the intervening policemen with a knife. The officers used a tracer, but it turned out to be ineffective and then one of them fired a shot at the aggressor.

As a result of the gunshot, the man died after being taken to hospital.

The prosecutor initiated an investigation into the active assault on the officers. The issue of the justification for using a firearm by a policeman is also being examined.
