Workers at the Post Office and Caixa Econômica Federal continue to strike in Acre after impasses in negotiations with the companies. Both categories began their strikes on September 11, for an indefinite period. At Banco do Brasil, the strike was partial and ended on the 14th of that month.

At Correios, the strike continues at a national level and awaits a definition from the Labor Court. The trial of the collective conflict began last Monday (21), at the Superior Labor Court (TST), was suspended and is scheduled to resume this Thursday (24).

To g1, the category's union in Acre informed that the objective is for the decision to establish conditions considered satisfactory for workers and the company.

''The intention is that in this trial we can have satisfactory conditions for both the workers and the company, which needs to have a project for strengthening, for progress and our situation needs to be resolved. Unfortunately, there was disrespect in the negotiations on the part of the company which culminated in the triggering of this strike'', he informed.

The entity highlighted that among the demands presented by workers are issues related to the maintenance of rights, health insurance, vacations, paid rest, extra tickets and the salary campaign.

According to the union, the category is also against the reduction of the Correios service network. The category also cites the closure of branches in Epitaciolândia and Porto Walter and stated that there is concern about new changes in the company's structure in the state.

The union also said that the proposal discussed provides for a two-year collective agreement, with no real increase in wages, only with the replacement of inflation.

According to the Acre Bank Workers Union, the situation is now being discussed in court after the institution filed a lawsuit. The bank will ask for the opening of a collective bargaining agreement after an attempt at conciliation with workers ended without an agreement on Wednesday (23).

In a statement, Caixa stated that it maintained dialogue with employees and representative entities during the negotiations and that it presented different proposals throughout the process. According to the bank, the offers incorporated workers' demands, but it was not possible to reach a consensus.

Caixa said that it seeks, with the TST process, an institutional solution that guarantees “legal security and predictability” for the parties. The bank also stated that it will maintain dialogue with employees and comply with the determinations of the Labor Court.

The strike began after employees rejected the proposal to renew the Collective Labor Agreement (ACT).

The category demands a replacement for inflation and a real increase of 0.6% in salaries, in addition to questioning changes related to the collective agreement and the health plan.

During the strike, customers could continue using digital and remote channels, such as the CAIXA app, Internet Banking, WhatsApp CAIXA and CAIXA Tem. ATMs, Banco24Horas, lottery outlets and CAIXA Aqui correspondents also remain available.
