Traffic in the Barra and Ondina regions, in Salvador, will be changed this Sunday (6). The changes occur because of the 23rd Bahia LGBT+ Pride Parade.
There will be vehicle closures on roads such as Oceânica and Sete de Setembro avenues. The closures begin at 9am and drivers will have detour options.
The event stage will honor anthropologist Luiz Mott and professor Salete Maria. This Sunday's program (6) will feature electric trios and performances by drag artists.
Traffic will be altered in the Barra and Ondina regions, in Salvador, this Sunday (6), due to the 23rd Bahia LGBT+ Pride Parade. According to the Salvador Traffic Superintendency (Transalvador), there will be closures at different times, in addition to changes in traffic and detours for drivers.
Vehicular traffic will be closed from 12pm to 11pm on Avenida Sete de Setembro, in the stretch between Largo do Porto da Barra and Largo do Farol da Barra, on Largo do Farol da Barra and Avenida Oceânica, between Largo do Farol da Barra and the access to Rua Dr. Oswaldo Ribeiro, in front of the old Speed Lanches.
Rua Silvino Marques will operate in both directions for vehicle traffic from 7am to 11pm.
From 9 am, bus and truck traffic will be closed on Avenida Sete de Setembro, in the stretch between Largo do Porto da Barra and Largo do Farol da Barra.
There will also be a ban on vehicle traffic between Farol da Barra and Ondina, at Clube Espanhol, from 12pm to 9:30pm this Sunday.
Deviations
Vehicles leaving Ladeira da Barra and Avenida Princesa Isabel towards Rio Vermelho will have the following route as a traffic option: Avenida Princesa Isabel, Rua Comendador Bernardo Catarino, Rua Marquês de Caravelas, Alameda Antunes, Avenida Princesa Isabel, Avenida Princesa Leopoldina, Ladeira da Gabriela, Avenida Reitor Miguel Calmon, Avenida Centenário, return after Shopping Barra, Avenida Centenário, Rua dos Reis Católicos, Avenida Reitor Miguel Calmon, Lord Cochrane Square, Avenida Anita Garibaldi, Avenida Milton Santos and Avenida Oceânica. From that point on, vehicles will follow their normal route.
Vehicles leaving Rio Vermelho towards Barra must use Rua Eurycles de Matos, Avenida Anita Garibaldi, Avenida Milton Santos, Rua Dr. Oswaldo Ribeiro, Avenida Oceânica, Rua Professor Sabino Silva, Rua Comendador Francisco Pedreira, Avenida Centenário, Viaduto da Gabriela, Avenida Princesa Leopoldina, Avenida Princesa Isabel, Ladeira da Barra, Corredor da Vitória and Largo do Campo Grande. From that point on, traffic will follow its normal route.

Diversity Stage
In 2026, the stage pays homage to the anthropologist and founder of Grupo Gay da Bahia (GGB), Luiz Mott, who turns 80 years old.
The space will host performances by drag artists, with performances by Scarleth Sangalo, Michelle Loren and Jocimar Ramos, as well as performances by names such as Vanusa Alves, Suzy BabyDoll, Jefter Brown, Saphyra Luz and Sissy Zeta Jones.
In addition to Mott, the 23rd Parade will have as godmother of honor the cordelist and professor at the Federal University of Bahia (Ufba) Salete Maria.
According to the organization, the choice brings together two distinct trajectories, but linked to the defense of diversity, culture and the rights of the LGBT+ population. The tribute to the two summarizes the edition's proposal, bringing together memory, science, popular culture and resistance.
