Trump: Airport attack in Saudi Arabia was a terrible thing

US President Donald Trump made a statement to journalists at the Andrews military base in Maryland.

"THE AIRPORT ATTACK WAS A HORRIBLE THING"

Trump also made evaluations about the latest Houthi attack on King Khalid International Airport near Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia.

Trump did not give a definite answer to the question of whether the USA would take action against the Houthis, saying: "You will see it." he said. Noting that they are in communication with the Houthis, Trump said, "Can't the Saudis defend themselves without US forces?" In response to the question, "They can defend themselves. Saudis are good warriors. But I think this attack was a terrible thing." he said.

Asked whether he had spoken to Saudi Arabian Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman after the latest airport attack, Trump replied, "No, but I will talk to him," and said, "What happened in Saudi Arabia is unacceptable." he said.

"For some reason, ZELENSKY DOES NOT WANT TO MAKE A DEAL"

"Is Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenski delaying peace because he cannot hold elections while at war?" Answering the question, Trump said, "I think he should go to the election; he could have solved this issue many times." he said. Emphasizing that the Ukraine war should never happen, Trump said, "If I were president, this would never happen. But President Zelenski can end this war." made his assessment. Stating that Russia wants to make an agreement that will end the war, Trump said, "This was an issue that could be solved many times, but for some reason President Zelenski does not want to make a deal." he said.

Pointing out that Russia is superior to Ukraine in terms of balance of power, Trump said, "I think it would be wise to reach an agreement. If (Zelenski) had made a deal two years ago, his situation would have been much better. He could have made a much better deal two years ago." he said.

"WE MUST HAVE A GUARANTEE ON IRAN"

Asked why he did not declare victory over Iran, Trump said, "We must have a guarantee that they will not have nuclear weapons in the future. This is actually a very good question. We can withdraw immediately now, but we have to guarantee that they will not have nuclear weapons in the future, and we will get this guarantee." he said.
