Türkiye Sigorta General Manager Taha Çakmak resigned

Taha Çakmak, General Manager of Türkiye Sigorta and Türkiye Hayat Emeklilik, resigned from his position.

A statement was made by Türkiye Sigorta AŞ on the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP).

The statement included the following statements:

"Our Company's General Manager Taha Çakmak has resigned from his position as of October 15, 2026. The position of General Manager has not been appointed yet, and if there is any development in this regard, it will be shared with the public."

WHO IS TAHA ÇAKMAK?

Born in Elazığ in 1981, Taha Çakmak graduated from Hacettepe University, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Department of Business Administration in English.

Çakmak, who started his career as an auditor in 2004, held various managerial positions within Ziraat Bank between 2005 and 2019. Çakmak, who served as head of department at the Privatization Administration of the Ministry of Treasury and Finance in 2019, was appointed Deputy Chairman of the Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency (BDDK) in the same year. Çakmak, who was appointed as Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT) in 2021, was dismissed from this position in July 2023.

Çakmak, who was appointed as the General Manager of Türkiye Sigorta and Türkiye Hayat Emeklilik, replacing Atilla Benli on August 3, 2023, also served as the Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors.
