Türkiye defeated Serbia 3-0 and advanced to the final of the CEV Trendyol 2026 Women's European Championship

The crescent-star team won the first set of the semi-final match played at Sinan Erdem Sports Hall, 25-20, with the effective performance of Eda Erdem Dündar and Melissa Vargas.

The national team started the second set well and went on a 3-0 series with Zehra Güneş's block: 7-3. Serbia recovered afterwards and achieved a draw after Vargas' violation of the 3-meter line: 12-12. The crescent-star team then recovered and increased the difference to 6 with Eda Erdem Dündar's dunk towards the end of the set: 23-17. The national team made no mistakes and won the second set of the match 25-19. Moreover, after Türkiye took a 2-1 lead in the second set, Serbian Head Coach Zoran Terzic used his "challenge" right. Terzic, who continued his objections after the score was given again in favor of Türkiye, was punished with a yellow card by the match referee.

With the support of the fans, the Star and Crescent team started the third set 4-0 with Vargas' dunk. Afterwards, Türkiye continued its superior play against its opponent and increased the difference to 7 with Eda Erdem Dündar's place: 10-3. Continuing its effective performance in attack, the national team made the score 20-14 with Elif Şahin's goal. The national team won the third set 25-20 and won the match 3-0.
