UEA maintains SIS and Entrance Exam tests despite the smoke in Manaus and cities in the Metropolitan Region

UEA held the SIS and Entrance Examination 2026 tests this Sunday (11). The tests continue to be confirmed despite the poor air quality in Manaus.

The institution offers 5,062 undergraduate places, 3,038 for the SIS and 2,024 for the Entrance Exam. The SIS tests begin this Sunday (11) at 1 pm.

The Entrance Exam takes place this Monday (12) and Tuesday (13). Among the new features are new undergraduate courses, including Veterinary Medicine and Pharmacy.

The State University of Amazonas (UEA) confirmed this Sunday (11) that the tests of the Serial Entry System (SIS) and the 2026 Entrance Exam, with entry in 2027, are maintained, despite the smoke that covers Manaus for the fourth consecutive day.

This Sunday morning (11), the capital of Amazonas and five other municipalities in the Metropolitan Region recorded air quality considered “terrible”.

The SIS test will be administered this Sunday (11), starting at 1 pm, Manaus time. The 2026 Entrance Exam will take place on October 12th and 13th.

In a note, UEA informed that the administration of tests is an essential activity to guarantee the continuity of selection processes and the entry of new students into the university.

The two selection processes offer 5,062 places in undergraduate courses in the capital and in the interior of Amazonas. Of this total, 2,024 are allocated to the Entrance Examination and 3,038 to the SIS.

The smoke also reached the Metropolitan Region, the worst rate was recorded in the municipality of Careiro, where the concentration of particles reached 301.2 µg/m³ at 8:20 am. At the same time, Borba recorded 220 µg/m³ and Autazes, 184.3 µg/m³.

In Itacoatiara, the index was 101.9 µg/m³, while in Silves it reached 76.8 µg/m³. In the last two municipalities, the air quality was considered “very bad”.

The gates for the SIS test close at 12:50 pm this Sunday (11), and the exam starts at 1 pm, Manaus time.

The 2026 Entrance Exam will be held on October 12th and 13th. On the first day, candidates will take the General Knowledge test. In the second, the Specific Knowledge and Writing tests will be applied.

Among the new features is the creation of the Veterinary Medicine course, at the Presidente Figueiredo Higher Education Center (Nespf).

In addition, three other courses are now offered by UEA: Pharmacy, at the Tefé Higher Studies Center (Cest); Degree in Computing, in Iranduba; and Literature - Portuguese Language and Mathematics, aimed at the indigenous community of Belém do Solimões, in Tabatinga.

Candidates must check the Convocation Card, which confirms their registration and informs the test location. The document is available on the UEA portal and can be consulted using the CPF number.

On the day of the test, it is mandatory:

present an original identity document with photo. (Digital documents will also be accepted, such as e-Título, Digital National Driving License (CNH) and Digital RG. In this case, the documents must be presented through official applications, using the candidate's own internet.
