Entrance exam details
According to the educational institution, this year the selection process will have a single phase, a shorter objective test, questions with fewer alternatives and there will be no specific tests. See details below.
The registration fee costs R$180 and exemption requests must be made by June 15th. Find out more below.
Registration can be made until July 20th.
The tests will be administered on the holiday of November 15th and candidates can choose to take them in 12 cities: Joinville (SC), Santa Maria (RS) and 10 cities in Paraná: Cascavel, Curitiba, Guarapuava, Jandaia do Sul, Londrina, Maringá, Matinhos, Palotina, Paranaguá and Toledo.
UFPR offers 4,603 places in this entrance exam in 130 undergraduate courses, on the campuses of Curitiba, Jandaia do Sul, Matinhos, Palotina, Pontal do Paraná and Toledo.
At least 50% of the places are allocated to students who completed high school in public schools. Within this percentage there are quotas for low-income students (up to 1 monthly minimum wage per person in the family), black and brown students, indigenous people, quilombolas and people with disabilities.
The rest of the vacancies are for broad competition. For candidates in the broad competition who qualify as people with disabilities, UFPR offers an additional place in each of the courses.
"It is important to remember that all people registered in any category of quotas also compete, and initially, in the broad competition. If a quota candidate obtains a sufficient score to be approved in the broad competition, it is on this list of approved candidates that his name will appear. If he does not obtain the necessary score to pass the broad competition, he will start to compete for the vacancies reserved by the Quota Law", explains UFPR.

📚New courses
One of the new features of the 2027 Entrance Exam is the offer of three new courses at the UFPR advanced campus in Jandaia do Sul, in the north of the state: Agronomy, Computational Physics and Mathematics and Digital Technologies. At the same time, the campus no longer offers degrees in Agricultural Engineering and Exact Sciences.
"The new courses were designed with a focus on key areas for the 21st century, connecting scientific knowledge, technological innovation and social impact, and taking into account the reality and demands of the Vale do Ivaí region", says the university.
In Matinhos, UFPR begins its undergraduate degree in Administration in 2027 and stops offering the Management and Entrepreneurship course.
‼️News from the entrance exam
The 2027 UFPR Entrance Exam will have a series of changes in relation to previous editions, which were carried out in two phases (the first with an objective test with 90 questions and the second with a test of understanding and production of texts and specific discursive tests in some courses).
Now, the selection of candidates will be done through a test with 80 objective questions (each with four alternatives) and two discursive questions (one of up to 15 lines and the other of up to 5 lines), both applied in a single phase, in the afternoon, on November 15th.
The candidates best classified in the objective test will be classified for the evaluation of the discursive test, in a number equivalent to three times the number of places offered for each course, shift, period and competition category.
Discursive tests per course no longer exist. On the other hand, 62 of the 130 undergraduate courses chose to assign different weights to questions from one or two subjects in the objective test. Only the specific skills test for the Music course will be held on November 16th.
The registration fee was reduced from R$195 to R$180, and among the test locations a city in Rio Grande do Sul was included for the first time: Santa Maria. With this, UFPR starts to apply the entrance exam in the three states of the southern region.
On May 31st, UFPR will hold a simulated entrance exam for the first time. The test will be administered in person in Curitiba, Jandaia do Sul, Matinhos, Palotina and Toledo, at 2 pm, for 2 thousand registrants. The proof of redressing for the simulation will be published on the 27th, starting at 6 pm.
