National High Speed ​​Train Statement from Minister of Transport Uraloğlu

Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu, in his written statement, gave information about the production works of the National High Speed ​​Train developed by Turkish Rail System Vehicles Industries Inc. (TÜRASAŞ).

Emphasizing that the production work of the second set continues while the tests of the first set are continuing, Uraloğlu said, "We are continuing the manufacturing work of our second National High Speed ​​​​Train set. While we are carrying out the tests of our first set, on the other hand, we are preparing our second set for the rails step by step." made his assessment.

The target is 14 train sets in two years

Uraloğlu underlined that National High Speed Train production will continue in line with the determined schedule and said, "We aim to produce a total of 14 National High Speed Train sets in two years, 7 in 2027 and 7 in 2028." he said.

Stating that the National High Speed ​​Train sets consist of 8 vehicles and have a capacity of 577 passengers, Uraloğlu stated that the Train Control and Management System and the Traction System, which are the critical components of the trains, were designed and produced locally and nationally in cooperation with ASELSAN.

Uraloğlu informed that the testing process of the first National High Speed ​​Train set continues successfully and noted that the train, which has an operating speed of 225 kilometers per hour, reached a speed of 250 kilometers per hour within the scope of dynamic navigational safety tests.
