Mirra Andreeva reached the fourth round of the US Open, beating Nikola Bartunkova

MOSCOW, September 5 - RIA Novosti. Russian tennis player Mirra Andreeva beat Czech Nikola Bartunkova in the third round of the US Open, which takes place on the hard courts of New York.

The meeting ended with a score of 6:2, 7:6 (7:5) in favor of fifth-seeded Andreeva. Bartunkova is ranked 34th in the Women's Tennis Association (WTA) rankings. The athletes spent 1 hour and 38 minutes on the court.

Andreeva’s next opponent will be Anastasia Potapova, a native of Saratov, representing Austria (24th seed), who beat last year’s finalist of the US Open, American Amanda Anisimova (10) - 6:2, 7:5. 19-year-old Andreeva reached the fourth round of the US Open for the first time in her career; previously the athlete only reached the third round.
