Üsküdar Deputy Mayor Gültekin started his duty. Gültekin, who came to the Üsküdar Municipality building with his delegation, was welcomed by party members and citizens in the presidential room.
Greeting those who welcomed him one by one, Gültekin stated in his speech that two people who believe in each other can achieve great things and fight great struggles, and said, "Praise be to God, I would like to thank both our AK Party Üsküdar District Chairman and MHP District Chairman, with whom we walked shoulder to shoulder."
Gültekin stated that they showed everyone how to be together in this process and how strength comes from unity, and said, "Therefore, I would like to thank all our members of the organization, especially my fellow council members, who stood behind us like a castle from the beginning to the end of this process." he said.
Noting that the agenda of Üsküdar, Istanbul and Turkey has been focused on a single point for about 1.5 months, since the previous mayor was dismissed for "bribery" and "extortion", Gültekin said that this was the elections in Üsküdar.
Gültekin stated that they carried out this process with great tranquility, and that they proceeded by remaining silent and not responding to all the comments made, and said, "With these agendas, the issues and problems of Üsküdar have unfortunately moved away from the agenda. Today, the election is behind us. As of yesterday, we have finished that job. Now it is time to join arms with our citizens of Üsküdar and serve them together." he said.
"THERE IS NO ISSUE OR PROBLEM THAT WE CANNOT OVERCOME BY HAND IN HAND"
Gültekin explained that he has been a council member of the AK Party in Üsküdar for 7.5 years, and that he spent a long period of time as the group deputy chairman, and that they have been trying to explain the problems of the district to the citizens and the public in the Parliament or in their environment for the last 2.5 years.
Stating that they explained how high the quality and merit of Üsküdar's current personnel is and that the institutional structure of Üsküdar Municipality is a well-functioning system, Gültekin said, "I have said many times that the civil servants and deputy mayors coming here from outside, I even have a statement about this, since it has been talked about a lot, we do not want civil servants and deputy mayors coming to the municipality with navigation. He will not let his own child swing on the swings in Üsküdar's park." "Those who will not drink tea in the coffeehouses of this district in their retirement made plans and decisions about our future. We have always been against this." he said.
Gültekin stated that they talked about the merit of their staff friends in Üsküdar at every point and said that they will join hands with their staff to solve all the problems and troubles of Üsküdar as quickly as possible, and their struggle has started now.
Addressing his colleagues, Gültekin said, "We will manage the municipality from the street, not from here. Therefore, I wish convenience to all our friends in advance. We have a 2.5-year process ahead of us. Üsküdar has very serious problems and problems in this limited time, there is no problem or problem that we cannot overcome by working together." he said.
After his speech, Gültekin received the seal and started his duty.
It was seen that CHP and New Party representatives were not present when Gültekin received the seal.
