Real Madrid is beating Valencia this Saturday on matchday 12 of the League. In a start to the match completely controlled by Madrid, it was Valencia that was close to taking the lead. Guido Rodríguez took advantage of a rained ball in the area to finish alone and beat Courtois, but the goal was disallowed due to offside. Valencia was encouraged for a few minutes. However, it was José Mourinho's team that took the lead with a shot from Valverde from the edge of the area. Madrid is looking for a victory that will bring it closer to the lead in the championship, especially because on Sunday Atlético and Barcelona face each other in a crucial duel. In front of them is the Che team led by the Mexican Javier Aguirre, who achieved his first victory as head of the Valencia bench against Elche at the Martínez Valero (0-1). However, the team is still in the relegation places and urgently needs to score points.
GOOOOL FROM VALVERDE!
Madrid is ahead! Mbappé shot the free kick into the barrier, the ball fell to Valverde in front of him and the Uruguayan, with a low dry shot, beat Dimitrievksi.
0-1.
Yellow for Maffeo
Mbappé received an aerial ball and Maffeo charged the Frenchman from behind. Valencia's winger gets the yellow. The action by the Valencia players was highly protested. The meeting is still very hot.
The game starts to heat up
Hard tackles follow one another, like now one from Maffeo on Cucurella. Mourinho gets angry on the touchline and the referee has to go and calm the Portuguese down.
Goal disallowed for Guido!
The Argentine received a rained ball and finished alone on goal to beat Courtois. However, he was a little ahead and the goal did not go up on the scoreboard. Valencia is encouraged now.
Courtois save!
Mayol stole from Tchouameni on the edge of the area and the Valencia midfielder shot hard down low where Courtois had a great hand to stop the shot.
The ball lasts very little for Valencia
Madrid is installed in the opposite field. Valencia tries to come out with long balls and Sadiq fights with Konaté and Tchouameni constantly, although at the moment he can't.
Diomande cross that Dimitrievski catches
Great individual play by the Ivorian in the area that culminates with an outside cross in search of Bernardo Silva at the far post, but Dimitrievski is attentive to step forward and catch the ball.
The match is stopped for a new tribute to Jesús de Miguel
The referee stops the game to finish the tribute to Jesús de Miguel. The entire stadium and the players on the pitch applaud.
Mourinho's team increases the pace
Mourinho's team is now printing more rhythm with the ball. Cucurella and Valverde constantly join the attack on the sides to give the team more depth. Valencia is completely sunk.
Valencia begins very withdrawn
Aguirre's team backs down with that defense of five that they planted today on the Mestalla grass. Madrid moves the ball without much hurry.
The game begins at Mestalla!
Valencia puts the ball into play.
The players jump onto the grass and the tribute to Jesús de Miguel begins
The tribute protocol of this League day begins to pay tribute to Jesús de Miguel, a Tenerife footballer who died this week after a brutal collision with Andorra goalkeeper Jesús Owono.
This has been the arrival of Valencia to Mestalla
There are also eleven by Javier Aguirre!
The Mexican coach opts for a five-man defense.
XI: Dimitrievsky; Maffeo, Pepelu, Tárrega, De Haas, Gayà; Javi Guerra, Guido, Mayol; Danjuma and Sadiq.
There are already eleven of Mourinho!
Mourinho is betting on the same eleven that played in the classic except for the goal, in which Courtois returns between the three sticks for Lunin.
XI: Courtois; Valverde, Konaté, Huijsen, Cucurella; Tchouameni, Bernardo; Güler, Bellingham, Diomande and Mbappé.
