Governor Hatipoğlu made a statement about the prison fire in X

Governor Hatipoğlu, in his post on the social media platform of US-based company X, stated that a fire broke out in a ward of the prison in the evening.

Stating in his post that the fire was immediately taken under control by the teams, Hatipoğlu said:

"Immediate medical intervention was provided to our prisoners and correctional officers affected by the smoke. All of our prisoners who were referred to the hospital and affected by the smoke were discharged from the hospital after their treatment and returned to the prison. I wish all our prisoners and correctional officers affected by the fire to get well soon."
