Today, Saturday 5 September 2026, the fourth day of the 83rd edition of the Venice Biennale International Film Festival opens.

Out of Competition are the films Non Fiction The Road to Jericho by Amos Gitai, Oasis: Don't Look Back in Anger by Dylan Southern and Will Lovelace and with Noel Gallagher and Liam Gallagher, and Imperium by Sergei Loznitsa, and Fiction Father Joe by Barthélémy Grossmann, with the screenplay by Luc Besson and with Kiefer Sutherland, Ever Anderson and Al Pacino.
For the Miu Miu photocall, Amanda Seyfried, Kim Gordon, Emma Corrin, Zoey Deutch and Cailee Spaeny are expected, while Marion Cotillard will be at the Biennale College Cinema.
In the Orizzonti section there are the films Eklipse by Manuel Wetscher and Diane in the Loop by Ann Sirot and Raphaël Balboni.
In the Biennale College Cinema section there is the film Tijuana, Todavía by Gabriel Gutierrez Morales.
In the Venezia Spotlight section there is the film Serpenti by Roberto De Paolis Maino.
In the Venice Classics section there are the films The Blue Eyes of Yonta by Flora Gomes, Viaggio in Italia by Roberto Rossellini and Citizen Osama by Ahmed Hassouna.
In the Authors' Day section there are the films Discipline by Mona Fastvold, Avec Kim by Claire Denis and The Indies by Pauline Julier and Nicolas Chapoulier.
In the Critics' Week section there are the films Gusci by Elisa Chiari and Francesca Trovato and Our Share of Sand by Shalini Adnani.

The Italian director is in fact at the Lido with the film It will happen tonight, in Competition after 37 years of absence from Venice, since he presented the film Palombella rossa in 1989 Out of Competition. Together with him there will also be the cast composed, among others, of Louis Garrel, Jasmine Trinca and Angela Finocchiaro.
