Veronica, let's start from the birth of your passion for music.
I have a family with a mother and father who are artists, my father had his own complex, my mother on the other hand is a painter so I grew up with music and art which is why I think I have always had creativity within me, you recognize yourself and I had the need to follow the worm of music on one side and that of art on the other.
What studies did you do?
I attended art high school then I graduated in Architecture and I also attended the Music Academy in Florence.
What made you choose music?
I would say that all the contaminations I breathed every day were transformed into the need to express myself with music. My beginnings as a musician led me to play all instruments, then I felt the need to create something of my own and moved towards electronics. I worked with the producer Diego Calvetti, I was part of a duo called Kimagure, which in Japanese means capricious and is linked to a manga, after which I felt the need to get behind the console, something I had already done as a young girl at parties with friends with vinyl records.
What happened after the period with Warner?
I worked with Radio Bruno, I did a program related to art and also did voice-overs. Then I picked up all the records again and landed in the deejay world: I've been making that choice for 15 years. Between the two family worlds I officially chose music.
What happened after the radio experience?
It was splendid but I was in a schedule; then there are the events: two years ago I played at the opening of the Tour de France which was held in Florence: being at the console between the Uffizi and the cyclists was exciting. Another shot of energy came to me at the Mandela Forum when I played music for the Italian basketball cup.
Your strength?
In every context I have the sensitivity to understand who I am in front of and therefore choose what music to offer.
How did you enter the world of Comics and LEG or Live Emotion Group?
My entry into Comics was at Lucca Comics and I tell you that the first theme song entitled La Magia che fa Volare is mine and Cristina D'Avena also sang it
What role do you have today?
For LEG I am responsible for the stage and programming. By accepting this assignment I set a line but at the beginning the first mission to complete was to bring people closer to the Comics world through animation and the cosplayer universe. We are a team that works very well, thanks also to the trust of our leaders.
Who is DJ-V and what does he do when he's in action?
I usually do the hits of the moment and EDM programming but I don't disdain the lounge for aperitifs and therefore there is Deep House. The sound varies depending on the location and what the audience expects.
What do you do when you're not on or behind the stage?
I create. I have my own studio called Nautilus and I close myself in, I'm alone. Music is always with me.
How do you relax?
I absorb the music of the frequencies that I would soon like to include in my productions, they are situations linked to the chakras. Instead, on holiday I write, my latest book is a fantasy novel called Wolves, before that I published Sofia with a preface by Diego Calvetti.
Are you at peace with yourself?
I am always grateful for everything I have received from life, I have always remained consistent and I am proud of myself.
What advice would you give to a teenager who tells you “I want to be like you”?
Study, be curious and understand what's behind this job.
