VIDEO: Truck is involved in an accident with a student bus on BR-163 in MT

Images recorded at the scene show the two buses side by side and the truck with its front part destroyed after the collision with one of the vehicles (see above).

According to information from the Nova Rota do Oeste dealership and the Fire Department, one of the buses braked and the vehicle behind it swerved to avoid a rear-end collision. During the maneuver, the bus invaded the opposite lane and crashed into the truck.

According to the Fire Department, the accident occurred approximately 15 kilometers after the Vera interchange, in a transition section between the single lane and the beginning of the highway duplication.

Rescue teams from Nova Rota do Oeste and the Fire Department were called to respond to the incident. The truck driver was removed from the wreckage and taken by the dealership to Sorriso Regional Hospital.

The bus passengers were not injured, but some were scared by the accident and had their blood pressure checked by the care teams.

On one of the buses, there were 15 people; in the other, 16. All were unharmed and signed the form refusing medical referral made available by the concessionaire.
