MOSCOW, October 7 - RIA Novosti. Wildberries will launch its own digital procurement platform in test mode for interaction between government customers and platform sellers - where educational institutions will be able to implement government purchases in the usual marketplace format, said Evgeniy Etin, director of the department for development of innovations and the ecosystem of the RVB.
“Digital platforms today go far beyond the usual e-commerce scenarios. We are now creating our own digital channel of interaction between government customers and platform sellers, combining the convenience and classic user experience of the marketplace with the requirements of the procurement sector,” he said during the Digital Solutions forum.
Etin explained that for Russian sellers this is an additional opportunity to present their products to a wide audience of government customers and form a new sales channel, and for customers it is an opportunity to take advantage of online trading.
As the company’s press service clarified, the creation of the platform was dictated by the order of the President of the Russian Federation at the EEF 2026 and will be implemented as part of an experiment that came into force on October 1, 2026, according to which digital platforms will have the right to conduct off-the-shelf purchases for kindergartens, schools and colleges. During the WEF, Russian President Vladimir Putin proposed using the infrastructure of information platforms for state and municipal procurement in the field of education.
“It (the platform - ed.) will allow educational organizations to carry out public procurement using the logistics infrastructure of the marketplace and the maximum amount of one purchase is up to 5 million rubles,” the company’s press service added.
It is noted that at the first stage of launch, the Digital Procurement Platform (DPP) will be available to sellers from the test group, but soon the company expects to open a platform for registering all willing and meeting government procurement requirements partners. On the created platform, in particular, stationery and household goods, machinery and equipment will be presented, the company explained.
It will be possible to receive such goods within the CPP, including using the logistics infrastructure of the marketplace. It is expected that this will make the purchase of in-demand goods more convenient, prompt and predictable in terms of delivery times, as well as transfer key stages of the procurement process to a digital format.
In addition, the digital “shelf” of the platform is connected with real offers from sellers and their available balances, which allows you to build a purchasing process taking into account actual supply capabilities.
The mechanics of the central processing center will be as close as possible to the usual shopping scenario on the marketplace. The seller places an offer for the product in advance, indicating its cost, quantity, terms and delivery conditions. When a customer requires a relevant product, he places a notice, after which the platform selects suitable offers from sellers in accordance with the specified parameters.
