According to the Hollywood Reporter, an American entertainment media outlet, on the 18th (local time), TikTok, a short-form social networking service (SNS), suspended advertising account activities for the movie 'Musk' for violating its political content policy.

Bleecker Street, the distributor of 'Musk', announced that it received a warning from TikTok on the 16th that paid advertisements would be permanently suspended, and that any type of promotion that increases content exposure by paying a fee would no longer be possible.

This action was taken at a time when the film had to be expanded to 470 theaters in time for the weekend and launched an all-out marketing campaign following its release in four theaters in New York and Los Angeles (LA).

TikTok explained on the morning of the 18th, "The advertising account restriction was an error," and "It has now been restored to normal." From the distributor's perspective, they missed the opportunity to promote the movie during the 'weekend golden time' when movies are screened from Friday to Saturday.
