WHO IS GÖKSEL ARSOY?

Göksel Arsoy is one of Yeşilçam's master actors, producer and singer. Arsoy, who was born in Kayseri on March 15, 1936, became one of the most well-known stars of Turkish cinema, especially in the 1950s and 1960s. He became known as the "Golden Boy".

Arsoy worked at Yeşilköy Airport while he was studying at Istanbul University Faculty of Economics. He stepped into the cinema in 1957 with the movie "Kara Günlerim". He had a big breakthrough with the 1959 movie "Samanyolu" and became one of the important stars of the period, especially with the movies he starred in with Belgin Doruk.

Arsoy, who was also a producer, founded his own film company in 1962. In the 1960s, he starred in and produced the "Golden Child" series. The artist, who is also interested in music, performed as a Turkish Classical Music soloist and released 45 records.

GÖKSEL ARSOY'S PRIVATE LIFE

Director Halit Refiğ gave Arsoy the nickname "Golden Boy", which became synonymous with him throughout his career. The artist married Soley Arsoy in 1961 and had two children named Gökhan and Aşkım.
