216.8 million passengers traveled by air in 10 months of the year

In his written statement, Uraloğlu evaluated the airline aircraft, passenger and cargo statistics of the General Directorate of State Airports Authority (DHMİ) for October.

Stating that the number of aircraft taking off and landing at the airports in the month in question was 80 thousand 479 on domestic lines and 90 thousand 428 on international lines, Uraloğlu stated that the total aircraft traffic reached 224 thousand 958 including overpasses.

Uraloğlu shared the information that in October, domestic passenger traffic at airports serving throughout Türkiye was 9 million 43 thousand 935 and international passenger traffic was 14 million 589 thousand 627.

Stating that a total of 23 million 646 thousand 999 passengers, including direct transit passengers, were served at the airports in the same month, Uraloğlu noted that there was a 1.8 percent increase in domestic passenger traffic compared to the same month of the previous year.

Uraloğlu reported that in October, airport freight traffic reached 462 thousand 752 tons in total, including 81 thousand 906 tons on domestic lines and 380 thousand 846 tons on international lines.

The number of passengers exceeded 216 million in 10 months

Emphasizing that the aircraft traffic landing and taking off from the airports was 837 thousand 920 on domestic lines and 797 thousand 2 on international lines in the January-October period, and that the total aircraft traffic reached 2 million 79 thousand 460 with overpasses, Uraloğlu shared the following information:

"Domestic passenger traffic at airports across Turkey was 90 million 753 thousand 635, and international passenger traffic was 125 million 959 thousand 231. During this period, a total of 216 million 803 thousand 230 passengers were served, including direct transit passengers. Thus, we served more than 2.5 times the population of Turkey in 10 months of the year. Compared to the same period of 2025, the percentage of total passenger traffic including direct transit was served." There was a 2.5 increase. Istanbul Airport served approximately 72 million passengers in 10 months

Uraloğlu stated that in the month in question, aircraft traffic at Istanbul Airport reached a total of 46 thousand 997 passengers, 9 thousand 690 on domestic lines and 37 thousand 307 on international lines, and a total of 7 million 466 thousand 699 passengers were served, 1 million 437 thousand 823 on domestic lines and 6 million 28 thousand 876 on international lines.

Stating that in the January-October period, there was a total of 461 thousand 550 aircraft traffic, 103 thousand 367 on domestic lines and 358 thousand 183 on international lines, Uraloğlu said, "There was a total of 71 million 969 thousand 568 passenger traffic, 15 million 3 thousand 545 on domestic lines and 56 million 966 thousand 023 on international lines." made his assessment.

Tourism centers hosted 56.6 million passengers

Providing information about the number of passengers at airports in tourism centers with heavy international traffic, Uraloğlu pointed out that a total of 56 million 636 thousand 785 passengers were served in 10 months, 18 million 136 thousand 949 on domestic lines and 38 million 499 thousand 836 on international lines.

Uraloğlu stated that there was a total of 371 thousand 825 aircraft traffic, 134 thousand 168 on domestic lines and 237 thousand 657 on international lines, and added:

"11 million 477 thousand 24 passengers were served at Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport in a 10-month period. There was 34 million 837 thousand 605 passenger traffic at Antalya Airport and 5 million 184 thousand 122 passengers at Muğla Dalaman Airport.
