F-4 fighter jet crashed during air show in Greece

The air show held within the scope of Athens Flight Week at Tanagra Air Base in Greece was the scene of the accident.

The two-seater F-4 Phantom fighter jet belonging to the Greek Air Force crashed during the demonstration. After the accident, a fire broke out and heavy smoke rose from the area.

According to Greek media, the plane suddenly lost altitude and crashed into the ground. It was stated that the air show started just a few minutes before the accident. Organizers began evacuating the area after the accident. Athens Flight Week has been suspended. The fate of the crew is not yet known.

Athens Flight Week was planned to be held at Tanagra Air Base for two days on September 5 and 6, with the participation of Greek and foreign military aircraft.
