West Bengal CM Launches Annapurna Yojana for Rs 3,000 DBT
West Bengal CM Suvendu Adhikari launched Annapurna Yojana on Wednesday.
"Annapurnar Yojana is being started with fresh form filling as SIR deleted names were getting benefits of the state schemes. We don't want any non Indian gets the benefits of the scheme," the CM said. "Altogether 28, 25,769 lakh have been verified and cash transferred today after verification."
Sanction letter was distributed, immediately after inauguration by the CM, to one hundred Annapurna Yojana beneficiaries, at each blocks/municipalities and Kolkata Municipal Corporation.
Women and Family Welfare minister Agnimitra Paul said that money will be transferred through Direct Bank transfer. "We have found lakhs of fake names. Those who are eligible should apply."
Chief Secretary Manoj Kumar Agarwal, meanwhile, said Annapurnar Yojana will be received by the age group of 25 to 60 through DBT. They will receive Rs 3,000 through this scheme.
"We have taken form yo houses. Finally DM theke sanction after enquiry officer. Non eligible will not get. ASDD received," he added.
Moreover, from Monday the state launched its free bus services for women in which zero value tickets are given to eligible candidates.
"I congratulate West Bengal women power. PM was the guarantor of the programme. In little time, we have managed to Asha ICDS and everyone's effort has made this possible. All eligible will receive the benefits of the scheme. Government is connecting common people through a dedicated line," he said.
