Filipe Luis spoke about the future of Alexander Golovin at Monaco

Monaco head coach Filipe Luis expressed hope that Russian midfielder Alexander Golovin will remain in the team.

On Friday, Monaco beat Paris Saint-Germain away in the third round of the French Football Championship with a score of 2:1. Golovin was in the starting lineup and scored an assist for the winning goal.

"Honestly, I don't know. I hope he stays. He's an incredible player, he's different from others. Players like him are very difficult to find. He creates chances, he has great technique. He can do everything. A versatile player," Filipe Luis said in a video posted on the Ligue 1+ TV channel's social media page X.

In September, the media reported that St. Petersburg Zenit and Moscow Spartak were negotiating the transfer of Golovin, and the Monegasque football club was ready to sell the Russian and expected to receive 20-25 million euros for the player. The footballer himself is also not against returning to his homeland.
