The Russian team beat Uzbekistan and reached the final of the team tournament

The Russian judo team defeated the Uzbekistan team in the semi-finals of the team tournament of the World Championships in Baku. The meeting ended with a score of 4:3 in favor of the Russians. This was reported on the Sport Express website.

The decisive victory was brought by Inal Tasoev, who defeated Muzaffarbek Turoboev in the over 90 kg category. After a draw in the main bouts, an additional meeting was required, in which the Russian again proved to be stronger. Daria Rechkalova defeated Umida Nigmatova, and Tamara Lishchenko defeated Shirinjon Yuldosheva. Among the defeats are the fights of Buyan-Kherel Sanaa, Mansur Lorsanov and Natalya Elkina.

In the final of the team tournament, the Russian team will meet with the Japanese team. The team tournament concludes the competitive program of the world championship.

Previously, the Russian team won five medals in individual competitions - gold from Inal Tasoev in the over 100 kg category and four bronzes. For the first time in history, the women's team won three medals at one world championship. Russian athletes perform in Baku under the flag and anthem of the country.
