Putin demanded balance and realism from the Russian budget

The budget of the Russian Federation must be balanced, realistic, and “destructive populism” must be excluded. The requirements for the main financial document were voiced by Russian President Vladimir Putin, as quoted by RIA Novosti.

At the first meeting of the State Duma of the 9th convocation, the head of state called the budget package the most important documents that must be balanced based on current priorities.

“The quality of any law and its efficiency are even more important. This applies, as I have already said, to the budget law. It must be balanced and realistic. I ask you to absolutely exclude any populism that destroys us from within,” the president added.

The Russian financial system and economy feel confident, the main thing is not to make any mistakes, Putin noted.
