Yoo Hee-tae of the Democratic Party of Korea succeeds in re-election as governor of Wanju-gun, Jeollabuk-do

In the Jeollabuk-do Wanju County governor election held on the 3rd, Democratic Party candidate Yoo Hee-tae succeeded in re-election, defeating independent candidate Gu Kuk-seok.

In his speech after winning the election on the 4th, President-elect Yoo said, "Once again, I am deeply grateful to the citizens who have entrusted me with the future of Wanju. I will take this seriously as the citizens' will to serve with a humbler attitude and work harder."

He added, "I will deeply engrave in my heart the support, encouragement, and harsh rebuke and advice you gave me during the election period," and added, "I will repay you with tomorrow's performance rather than today's gratitude."

He said, “Those who supported me and those who made different choices are all precious Wanju residents,” and added, “We will overcome conflict and confrontation and become one and create a greater Wanju.”

Representative-elect Yoo promised, "I will be the first to move at 4 a.m., worry before the citizens, and rest late. I will remember the sweat of farmers, will not ignore the difficulties of small business owners, and will carefully look into the future of young people and the lives of the elderly."

His main pledges included ▲ creating a specialized hydrogen commercial mobility complex ▲ fostering the defense industry innovation cluster and advanced materials industry ▲ expanding the metropolitan transportation network and establishing a logistics hub ▲ developing 5,000 new housing sites ▲ designating a special education zone ▲ creating a city for culture, arts, and sports.

President-elect Yoo emphasized, “I will get closer, visit more sites, and prove it with results rather than words.”
