Yemeni Houthi rebels attack Saudi Arabia's Najran airport and Aramco facilities

Yemen's pro-Iran rebels Houthis, who have recently been strengthening their offensive against Saudi Arabia, attacked Saudi airports on the 20th (local time), Sabah News Agency, a Houthi rebels' media outlet, reported.

A Houthi rebel spokesman said in a statement that “Yemeni forces have successfully carried out two military operations using drones.”

“The first attack targeted a sensitive Saudi enemy target at Najran airport, while the second hit an Aramco facility in Najran,” he explained.

He added that this attack was in response to a Saudi drone violating the airspace of Saada Province, Yemen.

A Houthi spokesman warned, "The Yemeni military will continue to defend Yemen's sovereignty against any incursions and, God willing, will strongly maintain this response stance."

The Houthi rebels pointed Saudi Arabia as the mastermind behind the airstrike on the airport in the capital Sanaa, which they controlled last month, and declared the end of a ceasefire and a maritime blockade.

Since then, the Houthi rebels have targeted Saudi-related ships in the Red Sea and continued their offensive against airports and oil-related facilities in Saudi Arabia.
