In a Moscow high-rise building, pipes burst due to the desire of the management company (MC) to save money on checking equipment. Details are published by Baza.

The capital's utility workers purchased fewer pressure gauges than needed, and during pipe inspections they carried them from entrance to entrance. The scheme was revealed when a radiator section in one of the apartments burst during heating startup in one of the houses.

The affected residents hired experts who examined the basement and found out that the devices had verification marks for 2021, although they were required to be changed annually. At the same time, a representative of the resource supply company stated that a month and a half ago, during an inspection, he personally saw the date for 2026 on the devices.

Construction expert Natalya Palchevskaya, in an interview with Baza, explained that in an attempt to save money, the management company purchased a limited batch, which was allegedly moved from house to house for the sake of visibility during inspections. According to preliminary estimates, the damage exceeds a million rubles, which the residents intend to recover from utilities.
